[ 17.02.2015 ] Many friends who have met Mom would used the word 'Happening' to describe her. The programme executive at the care centre I met recently remarked that she had very nice colored hair and loved wearing flowery clothes. She also remembered Mom always walking around with an umbrella because she just hated getting tanned.

[ 15.02.2015 ] Although she was easily irritated by noise after beginning her radiation therapy, Mom insisted that my cousins' five children join us for the annual feast.

The Ups & Downs
[ 14.02.2015 ] Mom seldom call me because she was always afraid that I was busy. But when she called, her opening line was usually, "Am I disturbing you?" I asked Helen two days ago if I should delete her number from my phone book now that she is gone but she didn't reply. In the past few days, I had imagined my caller ID showing 'Mom'. It is going to take a while.

[ 09.02.2015 ] Mom had a total of 10 radiation therapy sessions and it helped that the same team of young healthcare workers comprising of Estella Au(left) and Yeap Shixian(right), Melissa Koh and Abdul Rahman(not in picture), took care of her throughout. They really made her feel comfortable.
