[ BOOK LIVES ] A Criminal Investigation by Watabe Yukichi

Pray tell: Why would anyone publish a book like this?

OK, someone was killed and dismembered. In some small town in Japan. But that was in 1958, more than half a century ago. The police investigated, but of course right?

So how did a French publisher discover this and why did it decide that this is good enough to be a book?

Now look at the images and how they are sequenced again.

Don’t they look film stills? Don’t they resemble an old Japanese movie from the 60s? Do they not make you curious to get to the bottom of the story?

That alone, I think is reason enough.
